Business Information
As of the 1st April 2009 PRRR – Perth Rat Rescue & Rehab has become recognised as a registered Unincorporated Entity, operating as a non-profit organisation. As such, we are entitled to certain government tax exemptions and operate as a registered Charitable Institution. We are also registered as a Deductible Gift Recipient or DGR. This means that certain gifts or donations to PRRR are tax deductible. For more information please see the relevant section of the ABR and Australian Taxation Office.
Our main aim is to provide for the Rescue & Rehabilitation of Domesticated (PET) rats in Western Australia.
Our goal is to rescue animals that have been lost, abandoned, neglected or cannot be kept by their previous owners.
If the animals require rehabilitation we will commit to this before offering the animal for adoption.
We hope to be able to adopt these animals to loving homes where they will be cared for properly for the rest of their lives.
We aim to supply all adoptive and interested parties with information regarding rat care and wellbeing in the hopes that this information will be used by the public to care for the domestic rats that they currently have or are considering having to help reduce the number of animals that are being dumped due to lack of information.
This information will be provided via a website, forum, hardcopy format as well as personal contact.
PRRR is currently conducting operations from our home premises and we rely heavily on donations and members support and assistance.
We are constantly looking for sponsors willing to assist us in the endeavor. We can offer a potential sponsor access to our Forum members, facebook connections as well as advertising space on our website. Please feel free to contact us HERE for further information about becoming a PRRR sponsor.
